Established, growing practice with a solid referral base is seeking a BE/BC Gynecologic Oncologist to join a highly respected and compassionate physician who has an excellent relationship with the area’s OB/GYNs. The opportunity offers an energetic, ambitious and outgoing physician the chance to work in a collegial environment with strong hospital administrative support.
The practice, located in Indiana, encompasses the most advanced surgical, radiation and medical treatments, including the use of cooperative group and industry-sponsored trials. External beam radiation therapy (EBRT); Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT); B-Mode Acquisition and Targeting (BAT); Brachytherapy; Mammosite; and daVinci Surgical System are among some of the state-of-the art services offered. In 2007, the hospital will be offering Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).
Nationally recognized by the ACoS for offering high-quality care as a comprehensive community cancer program, the hospital was recently recognized as one of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals by Solucient. The award recognizes hospitals that have achieved excellence in quality of care, operational efficiency, financial performance, and adaptation to the environment. Hospital expansion, scheduled for completion in 2008/09 will offer comprehensive oncology services in one location.

Our client, located in Southwest Ohio, is seeking a BE/BC Gynecologic Oncologist to join their Cancer Center program that offers medical oncology, radiation oncology, comprehensive gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, and a full range of diagnostic services. Plus, they have the area's only blood and marrow transplant program. These oncology services are backed by pain management, nutritional support, pastoral care, psychological counseling, palliative care, and mammography. There’s no question that the Cancer Center program gives the region the most comprehensive cancer care in a single location. The Cancer Center has state-of-the art equipment including the da Vinci surgical system. The Cancer Center has an academic affiliation and is actively involved in numerous research clinical trials.
All Cancer Center program physicians are board-certified in all specialties. This level of expertise gives patients a solid backing in their fight against cancer. The Cancer Center is also the only American College of Radiology accredited facility in city, and was the first in the state to receive this accreditation. The Cancer Center is also accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer with multiple areas of commendation.
Between January 1 and August 31, the center saw 2,707 Gynecologic Oncology patients. The Gynecologic Oncologist treated 1,196 patients. On average 150 patients per month. You will work with two part-time Gynecologic Oncologists and a support staff of 1 NP and an educator.
Compensation is negotiable. Base salary includes a productivity bonus. Complete benefits package includes: malpractice, health, disability, vision, and dental insurance; retirement plan; vacation and CME time; and tuition remission.
